Robert D. Plakus Scholarship in Environmental Engineering

Purpose: 

The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students who are majoring in or planning to major in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering, or successor degree program, at Penn State Harrisburg and who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Eligibility: 

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students who are majoring in or planning to major in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering, or successor degree program, at Penn State Harrisburg, and who have achieved a minimum grade point average of at least 3. 0 ( on a scale of 4. 0) or who otherwise manifest promise of superior academic success and who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (the "FAFSA"). The recipients should be given preference to renew this scholarship award based on maintenance of a minimum 3.0 overall GPA (on a scale of 4.0) and continued demonstrated financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Scholarships may be awarded to students regardless of enrollment status so long as the recipient is in good academic standing and intends to continue his/her education in the School of Science, Engineering and Technology, or successor academic unit, at Penn State Harrisburg.
