  • Publication Costs: when possible, the Office of Research and Outreach (ORO) will make limited funding available to assist faculty with the costs for academic publications or other academic productions. Of necessity and within the criteria listed in the application instructions and form, limited funds will be available on a first-come-first–served basis and should be matched form other sources.   • School based funding – Contact your School Director to find out more.
  • Global funding: The Global Fund provides a resource to faculty for international programs expenses. Programs must be related to the strategic initiatives outlined in the strategic plan of the College. Projects include: development and participation in a study tour, development and maintenance of international exchange programs at Penn State Harrisburg, collaborative research projects related to Penn State’s key international or strategic initiatives. School or unit director’s approval for the project is required for the application.

Fulbright Grants

  • Fulbright grants are fellowships for US faculty or staff to do short (1-2 weeks), moderate (2-3 months) or extended (6 months-1 year) work overseas in over 100 countries.  There are also programs for foreign researchers and academics to come to the US. Work could be for research, teaching or information exchange. These applications are generally due in early August and are aimed at specific country requests listed in the Awards Catalog. Please contact our office in spring or early summer if you wish to discuss.
