Exel

Jim Gehr has been involved in the supply chain management industry for over 20 years working with many of the non-financial Fortune 500 companies. He has been one of the key leaders of the Exel Americas team that has worked together to grow Exel from $50 million to in excess of $5 billion and growing, by establishing repeatable process and developing a culture of continuous improvement.

In January 2004, Jim assumed the role of President Retail Americas for Exel, the world's leader in 3rd Party Logistics. He steers the strategic direction of over 12,000 associates servicing many of the top retailers across both North and South America, with responsibility for growth of the business and operational service delivery. Jim Gehr directs the Retail business unit’s growth strategy, development and operations for name-brand customers in the big box, specialty, fashion, convenience and grocery market verticals for Exel in the Americas. Jim is active in the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA).

Prior to assuming his current role in 2004, Jim was Senior Vice President, Operations, and responsible for Canada and the western region of the United States for Exel.

Prior to joining Exel in 1991, Jim worked with Ernst & Young for 8 years before leaving as a Senior Manager with the firm. Jim graduated from Shippensburg University in May of 1983 with a BSBA in accounting, having received graduation honors of Magna Cum Laude. He received his CPA License from the state of Pennsylvania.
