Jeffrey Merritt is a shareholder of Reynolds Enterprises, Inc. which serves as the parent company for the Reynolds family of companies. Mr. Merritt also serves as the President of Reynolds Construction, LLC. Reynolds provides professional construction management services to public and private clients throughout Pennsylvania. Specific additional services include building commissioning, energy services, restoration services and general contracting. Reynolds has successfully delivered hundreds of projects by serving as their client’s advocate, protecting their interests and managing risk. The Reynolds Team is comprised of more than 110 construction professionals with proven management skills.
Jeff received his degree (1985) in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University, and has 29 years of experience in the construction industry; 21 of those with Reynolds. While serving as a Project Manager with Reynolds, he managed multiple construction projects for many public school districts with contract values in excess of $100 million. Over the past 15 years, he has served as Reynolds’ executive representative for more than 50 additional school districts, county government and private organizations. Jeff also leads the staff development effort for all Reynolds’ employees and serves as the companies’ Chief Operating Officer. He has earned two certifications awarded to construction professionals by national organizations.
Seeking to promote the building design and construction fields as attractive careers for today’s students, Jeff has affiliations with several construction programs in Pennsylvania. He has served on the Advisory Board for the Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology program at Penn State Harrisburg. Jeff is a past President of this Board, which is responsible for improving the program’s connection to high school students, maintaining an excellent curriculum, increasing student enrollment and maintaining a firm connection with the business community. Recently this Board has overseen the addition of a number of 4 year engineering programs and campus expansion to accommodate these growing programs. He is also a member of the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (PACE); a collection of construction professionals who conduct lectures, assist with student research & generally share their experiences with Architectural Engineering students at Penn State’s main campus. Jeff frequently will guest teach classes about construction topics at local colleges and high schools.
In 2009, he was named a Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of York and Adams Counties. He has also served on the Diocesan Building Committee since 2007 for the Harrisburg Diocese.
Jeff is married and lives with his wife, Jean, in York. They have three children and a daughter in-law, all of whom are Penn State graduates.
