Dr. Erin Miller, assistant professor of psychology in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, will present a discussion titled, “The Acquired Capability for Suicide: What It Is, What It Isn’t, and Why It Matters” on Wednesday, November 19, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge on campus.

Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Behavioral Sciences and Education will present an Academic Perspectives on Current Events panel titled “Common Core: Implications for PK-12 Student Learning” on Wednesday, November 5, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge on campus.

Panelists include Dr. Laura Roy, assistant professor of education; Dr. Julie Schappe, director of the Capital Area Writing Project; and Dr. Amanda Thomas, assistant professor of education. This event is moderated by Dr. Denise G. Meister, professor of education.
