Penn State Harrisburg to offer kinesiology bachelor’s degree program
Beginning fall 2016, Penn State Harrisburg will offer a kinesiology bachelor’s degree program that prepares students in the science of human movement.
Students enrolled in the kinesiology exercise science option at Penn State Harrisburg have the choice of two emphases of study: science or business.
The science emphasis focuses on courses such as chemistry, biology, physics and math, preparing graduates for advanced study in physical therapy, chiropractic, kinesiology and medicine.
The business emphasis includes the skills of accounting, marketing, management and entrepreneurship, preparing graduates to compete for jobs as fitness instructors, personal trainers, athletic club managers, fitness program directors and other business-related fields.
