Penn State Harrisburg’s top-rated Master of Business Administration (MBA) program returns to Lancaster this fall, with courses to be offered on the Franklin & Marshall College (F&M) campus off of Harrisburg Pike.
“Because of the large range of industries represented in the Lancaster business community, this collaboration is very important to the college,” said Richard Young, MBA program director. “The MBA program stresses teamwork and collaboration, but also it is designed to be flexible in responding to individual student’s specific needs.”
The Penn State Harrisburg part-time MBA has been top-rated in the region by U.S. News and World Report. The college’s School of Business Administration is accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AACSB accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business programs.
“The F&M agreement provides a location that is easy to find, has convenient parking, offers state-of-the art classroom space, and has nearby food service for our students, who typically are working professionals,” Young added. “We are striving to make ourselves as convenient as possible for our Lancaster students. Another way that we will do this is through use of the F&M bookstore, which has agreed to stock our texts for Lancaster course offerings.”
Initially, Penn State Harrisburg will offer core courses and occasional electives for its MBA in Lancaster, and plans are to add foundation courses required for students without prior academic business coursework. Some courses will still be available only at Penn State Harrisburg, and administration of the program will remain at Penn State Harrisburg.
