A faculty panel explored pressing government issues including the fiscal cliff and debt ceiling at Penn State Harrisburg, on Feb. 6 in the Gallery Lounge (W-107 Olmsted Building).

Free and open to the public, the Academic Perspectives series installment "Over the Cliff, Through the Ceiling?" discussed the 2012 fiscal cliff agreement and its aftermath, the urgency of the debt ceiling, and the effects of these issues on economic growth, unemployment, and state and local governments.

David Buehler, assistant professor of economics, moderated the panel, which included faculty members Thomas Amlie, associate professor of accounting; Nihal Bayraktar, associate professor of economics; and Beverly Cigler, professor of public administration.
