Engineering students receive scholarships
Two Penn State Harrisburg students, senior mechanical engineering technology major David Lane, of Candor, N.Y., and senior mechanical engineering major Christopher Topper, of York, have received $1,500 scholarships from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ (ASME) Susquehanna Section.
Selected for their written essays and reference letters, the students received both scholarships awarded by the section for the 2012-13 academic year.
ASME seeks to improve the quality of life for communities around the world through the advancement and distribution of engineering knowledge. The society’s Susquehanna Section represents colleges in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties.
