Engineering student receives national leadership award

Trevor Dombach, Penn State Harrisburg civil engineering major, of Lititz, has received the 2013 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Student Leadership Award. Dombach is the current president of the college’s ASCE chapter, which was chartered three years ago.
Recognizing commendable achievements and accomplishments within the civil engineering field, the Student Leadership Award was presented to eight students from across the country based on nominations from fellow members and chapter advisers.
"On behalf of the civil engineering program at Penn State Harrisburg, we commend Trevor Dombach for his receipt of the 2013 ASCE Student Leadership Award," said Dr. Joseph Cecere, chair of the college’s structural design and construction engineering technology and civil engineering programs. "During his time here, Dombach has displayed true leadership qualities, such as professionalism and enthusiasm, that have positively impacted not just the ASCE student chapter, but the entire civil engineering program."
