Penn State Harrisburg’s Computer Science program is sponsoring a local site for the IEEEXtreme 24-hour programming contest on Friday, Oct. 19 beginning at 8:00 p.m. in the Sun lab, Olmsted W-210. Seventeen students from the campus chapter of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) will compete in the contest.
A world-wide competition, IEEEXtreme challenges teams of students in IEEE, a global professional association committed to advancing technological innovation, to solve as many programming problems as possible in a 24-hour timeframe. Last year, more than 4,000 students participated in the challenge.
