Penn State Harrisburg welcomes students to campus with a series of events.

New Student Orientation, beginning Aug. 24, will help new students learn about campus resources and living and learning in a diverse community.

New Student Convocation will commence on Aug. 25 at 1 p.m.  The convocation is an academic ceremony which marks students’ formal entrance into the life and traditions of Penn State. Chancellor Mukund Kulkarni, directors of the college’s five academic schools, staff members, and student leaders will welcome students during the ceremony.

Other events include the first-year student move-in, kicking off at 9 a.m. on Aug. 23, as well as a campus and community resource fair, parent and student orientation sessions, and other informational events.  Activities will run through the first week of classes – Aug. 30.
