Penn State Harrisburg, in coordination with local and regional agencies, will conduct an emergency preparedness exercise in its library, on Friday, September 30 starting at 9:00 a.m. The library will be closed to the public between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
"Boobies Ball" March 23 to fund cancer awareness
A "Boobies Ball" to fund cancer awareness and research is coming to Penn State Harrisburg Friday, March 23.
Sponsored by the student Lion Ambassador organization on campus, the 9 p.m. to midnight dance in the Capital Union Building, all proceeds will be donated to the Middletown-based "Feel Your Boobies" Foundation.
The cost is $7 for adults or $5 for students with a valid college ID. Music will be provided by a local DJ.
The aim of the event is to bring the campus and external community together to raise funds for the awareness effort. Joining the Lion Ambassadors will be Leigh Hurst, founder of "Feel Your Boobies" which focuses on creating products to raise awareness and educate women about the importance of self-breast exams.
