Videoconferencing

Penn State Harrisburg provides two options for videoconferencing: Polycom Videoconferencing, and Adobe Connect. Adobe Connect has the advantage of being web-based, simple to use, and convenient (available from any computer). Its disadvantage is that the quality of the video connection is uneven. Polycom Videoconferencing has the advantage of being more robust and providing excellent video quality. The disadvantage of Polycom is that it is only available in four locations on campus, and it is technically complex; most people need assistance in getting it to work.

If you will be using a Polycom Room, we strongly recommend this Quick Reference.

Polycom Rooms can be scheduled with our Polycom Request Form.

Extensive information regarding videoconferencing within the Penn State system is available here.

Adobe Connect (Adobe Breeze)

You can use Adobe Connect to host or attend videoconferences, with no outside support. Information for getting started is at PSU's Adobe Connect Community website.
