President Eric Barron meets with studentsThe center educates students, not just in traditional management methods, but in those that allow them to manage the inherent uncertainty of entrepreneurial endeavors. The seeds of these educational opportunities have been planted by the offering of entrepreneurial courses that are in high demand.

Students themselves have formed a campus Entrepreneurship Club through which they get involved with entrepreneurship through hands-on experience, learn good judgment, and become increasingly comfortable handling complexity in an uncertain environment.

The center counsels students in these pursuits and provides them access to a broad, local experience base – the 30,000 Penn State alumni that live in this region – and a place to develop their creative ideas.

Campus Heights, a local apartment developer located adjacent to campus, has donated a facility next to campus to use as a student incubator, the Innovation Den. This provides a space for students to work on their business ideas and offers flexibility for the future.
