Saravanan Gurupackiam, Ph.D., P.E., is an Associate Teaching Professor of Civil Engineering at Penn State Harrisburg. Dr. Gurupackiam received his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama in 2009. He also worked as a Post Doctoral Associate at the University of Alabama before joining Penn State Harrisburg. Dr. Gurupackiam’s research interests include microscopic traffic simulation, traffic operations, and traffic safety. He has been teaching Highway Engineering, Surveying, Transportation Design, Statics, Strength of Materials etc., at Penn State Harrisburg.

Dr. Gurupackiam holds a Ph.D. in civil engineering from The University of Alabama, where he also worked as a postdoctoral assistant.
