Dr. Rashwan earned her Ph.D. in Engineering Materials from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada for her research on micro-surface texturing to enhance tribological properties. Dr.Rashwan research focuses on optimization of micro and nano surface features to improve the behavior of materials in contact. Dr. Rashwan is using different numerical and experimental methods to investigate the effect of micro and nano-texturing parameters on a wide range of applications, such as metal forming dies, and MEMEs devices. Before joining Penn State-Harrisburg, Dr. Rashwan held different engineering positions in IKEA and AGC glass North America.
