Bio

Hello! My name is Jordan Stimeling! I am from Carlisle, PA and am a proud Boiling Springs Alumna (Go Bubblers!) I graduated from Shippensburg University in August 2017 with a Master of Science in Counseling/College Student Personnel. While at Shippensburg, I was the Campus Activities & Programming Advisor to the Activities Program Board (APB), SU Homecoming Committee and a staff member for the Ceddia Union Building. I completed program required internships at Shippensburg University with the Student Group Services & Leadership Development Office called Leader @ SHIP, which is rooted in the Student Leadership Challenge and worked to implement ShipLink, an OrgSync platform. I also completed another internship with the Admissions Office, working with student tour guides and admissions representatives. I was a member of Chi Sigma Iota, Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International, Upsilon chapter for Shippensburg University.

Prior to my time at Shippensburg, I completed my undergraduate studies at Bloomsburg University. I graduated in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, with a focus in Interpersonal Communications, and a minor in Sociology. I was involved on-campus as a Resident Assistant, Treasurer of the Community Government Association, a Board of Governor's Scholar and completed an internship with the Center for Leadership & Engagement, where I found my passion in Student Affairs. While attending college, I would spend my summers working for the Carlisle Borough Parks & Recreation Office as a Playground Leader, providing children with a safe environment to engage in constructive recreational activities for future development. My journey has led me to Penn State Harrisburg where I am excited to be the Graduate Student Success Specialist (Academic Advisor 3) for the School of Public Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg!
