J. Scott Lewis studied Sociology at Bowling Green State University, where he specialized in social psychology and family studies. His current research interests center on biosocial processes—how human evolution influences the way in which culture is constructed and maintained. Dr. Lewis is also interested in the philosophy of social science, and best practices in teaching sociology. His publications vary widely, and include an introductory sociology text book (with Edward Brent), book chapters, encyclopedia entries, and journal articles. Dr. Lewis is currently coordinator of the Sociology program at Penn State Harrisburg.
