Penn State Harrisburg Lion Leaders Recognition Program

Penn State Harrisburg Lion Leaders Recognition Program

Overview of the Program

The Penn State Harrisburg Lion Leaders Program is intended to highlight individuals who cultivate a safe and supportive community and foster diversity inclusion throughout the year both on and off campus. Diversity related service should be outside of the individual’s role or position within the University. Examples include active involvement in organizations that foster diversity awareness, promoting diversity in teaching, research or service to the college or community, assisting with diversity events and programs, and any other activity that displays a commitment to a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Each semester, the Diversity and Educational Equity Awards Subcommittee will review nominations and select individuals for recognition. Lion Leaders will receive a certificate, a highlight of their achievements shared with the campus, and a small gift. Please note that those recognized are also eligible to be nominated for the Penn State Harrisburg (campus-wide) Faculty, Staff, or Student Diversity Award given in the spring.

Eligibility

All faculty, staff, and students of Penn State Harrisburg are eligible.
