Adobe® Photoshop® Workshop

Adobe® Photoshop® Workshop

Do you use digital photographs in your newsletters, websites, advertisements and/or social media? Are you a portrait photographer and/or wedding photographer who want to learn how to enhance and share photos?

This course will provide hands-on experience in the use of the photographic editing software Adobe Photoshop. In addition to a thorough explanation of the tools, palettes, history and other features of the software, the student will practice selecting—and modifying—areas of an image; repairing damage and/or removing unwanted marks from a portrait; creating posters and/or covers by adding text to an image. Participants will also learn important file protocol for Web-based images, high-quality printed reproductions and submitting to an outside printing service. This course is appropriate for anyone who uses digital photographs in their work, or is interested in improving the quality of their photographs.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the function of Adobe Photoshop tools, file-saving protocol and file sharing

  • Resize, enhance and print photographs

  • Add text to an images

  • Apply techniques to both provided images and participant images
