Courses for Non-Penn State Students at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center
Many students attending other universities choose to take courses while they are home for the summer. Taking summer courses is an excellent way to meet your goals sooner, to alleviate stress from an over-packed fall or spring, or to pick up a remedial class to prepare for an upcoming semester.

You may also want to consider some of the courses available on the Penn State Harrisburg campus.
Nondegree students can register beginning February 9, 2009.

You must plan a quick trip to Penn State Harrisburg prior to the start of classes to activate your student account. You need to go to the badge office to have your photo taken and sign a computer station to activate your student account. If you have any questions about activating your student account call 717-948-6241.
Be sure to review your course plans with your assigned full-time faculty advisor at your current school. Many of the courses offered at the medical center are general education courses that will transfer, but it is your responsibility to make sure you have received the appropriate approvals from your school.
If you are not currently enrolled, and will be entering college for the first time this fall, please talk with an entry adviser to make sure the Penn State course you select meets your specific degree requirements. You will also want to find out how you go about transferring the credits to your institution upon completion of the class. You should not register for any summer classes before you have met and reviewed your course plans with your adviser!
Many of the services you need are housed at the Penn State Harrisburg campus, even though you will be taking classes at the medical center.
