About Continuing Education
Penn State Continuing and Professional Education delivers first-class professional development and continuing education programs at convenient times and locations across Pennsylvania. Using Penn State's network of twenty-four campuses and colleges, we design, promote, and coordinate Continuing and Professional Education programs to provide adult learners with high-quality materials and support. As an adult learner, you can obtain a degree, advance your career, change your career, or enhance your earning potential by enrolling in our credit or noncredit programs. We provide consistent content for continuing education programs that can be delivered on-site at your business, on our campuses, or at a public facility.
We offer a wide variety of credit and noncredit programs designed for professionals in the fields of business, education, engineering/technology, and health. We offer master's, bachelor's, and associate degree programs. In our credit and noncredit certificate programs you can learn new skills and you can use the credit programs to step up to a degree. The contract programs are former public offerings that are now available on a contract basis at your location upon request.
Mission of Continuing Education
The primary responsibility for Penn State Harrisburg Continuing Education is to engage individuals, businesses, and community organizations with the University's resources to enhance personal, professional, and economic development in a competitive environment. To accomplish this mission, Continuing Education focuses its effort on four key audiences: adult learners in credit programming, incumbent workers and their employers, youth, and communities.
