During the program you understand the many federal regulations you must follow to maintain your visa status as well as make you familiar with both campus and off-campus resources that are available. It is important for all new interantional students to attend this program.

New Student Orientation is for undergraduate and graduate first-year students and transfer students.

This is a mandatory session that provides you with information about all the resources on campus. During this day-long program you will learn about campus resources and living and learning in a diverse community.

New Student Convocation

All new Penn State Harrisburg students, family members, current students, staff, and faculty are invited to the 2013 New Student Convocation ceremony. All new students must attend Convocation, which marks their formal entrance into the life and traditions of the Pennsylvania State University.

New students will be welcomed by the chancellor, the school directors, and student leaders. The ceremony highlights the history of Penn State University's academic community and calls upon students to make a commitment to live by the values embodied in the Penn State Principles.
