This is a screening and discussion with filmmaker Aishah Shahidah Simmons, producer and director of NO! The Rape Documentary.

An incest and rape survivor, filmmaker Aishah Shahidah Simmons spent eleven years producing, writing, and directing NO! The Rape Documentary. This award winning, internationally acclaimed, groundbreaking documentary explores the international reality of rape and other forms of sexual assault through the first person testimonies, scholarship, spirituality, activism, and cultural work of African-Americans.

Subtitled in Spanish, French, and Portuguese, NO! also explores how rape is used as a weapon of homophobia.

This event is co-sponsored by the Commission for Women, the DEEC Outreach Committee, the Black Student Union, Capital Alliance, and the MAEP.

MAEP focuses on your successful transition and matriculation at Penn State Harrisburg. This program is for the student who is willing to put in extra effort to achieve his or her fullest potential.

An evening meal is provided for those who participate in the program.
