National Writing Project Fellowship Opportunity
Capital Area Writing Project and the Teacher Education Program in the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education at Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to offer our area teachers, administrators, and curriculum specialists the opportunity to apply for a fellowship with the National Writing Project.
Capital Area Writing Project (CAWP) celebrates 32 years as an affiliate of the National Writing Project. Penn State Harrisburg’s CAWP is the only National Writing Project (NWP) university affiliate in our seven-county, Central Pennsylvania region.
Accepted fellows become a part of the Invitational Candidate Institute that includes graduate-level coursework, classroom inquiry, innovative 21st century writing and reading strategies applicable across the curriculum, and mentoring and coaching from NWP-recognized area teachers and university faculty.
Please review the attached program description and application since the application period is now open. Candidates will be considered on a rolling-basis. The fellowship description and application will also be available on Angel and via Penn State Harrisburg’s Capital Area Writing Project web page.
