The Multicultural Academic Excellence Program of Penn State Harrisburg
The Multicultural Academic Excellence Program (MAEP) is a weekly program aimed at providing a supportive atmosphere for all Penn State Harrisburg students. MAEP seeks to provide students of all different ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds a supportive, co-curricular atmosphere.
MAEP offers an array of different programs, activities, and services that are designed to assess and enhance academic, social, vocational, and cultural needs and offer tutorial and counseling services for students. MAEP also seeks to ease the transition to the new campus with the attention of aiding the retention-to-graduate of the participating students and serves to create student-to-faculty, student-to-staff, and student-to-student contacts, so that participants are able to make the most of the Penn State Harrisburg resources and ultimately feel a greater sense of connection to the University.
MAEP is free and open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors of Penn State Harrisburg.
Light refreshments are provided at each program on a first-come, first-serve basis.
* On April 24, 2013 at 4:30 p.m., the "MAEP End of the Year Celebration" will take place in the Gallery Lounge (Olmsted W-107).
* There will be no meeting on March 6, 2013, as the campus will be closed for Spring Break
