Penn State Harrisburg, in coordination with local and regional agencies, will conduct an emergency preparedness exercise in its library, on Friday, September 30 starting at 9:00 a.m. The library will be closed to the public between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Kol Haneshama, the Harrisburg Jewish Community Chorus, was formed in September 2014 as the result of the vision of its founder, Janet Frankel Staub. The mixed voices chorus includes members from all five Harrisburg area Jewish congregations and performs Jewish-themed a cappella music under the choral direction of Marina Cherepinsky.
Ms. Cherepinsky has a distinguished career as a performer in her native Russia, and in central Pennsylvania as a choral and instrumental music educator, and choral director. In its first season, Kol HaNeshama performed to critical acclaim at area synagogue, college, and senior center events, and at community gatherings and celebrations.
