Penn State Harrisburg, in coordination with local and regional agencies, will conduct an emergency preparedness exercise in its library, on Friday, September 30 starting at 9:00 a.m. The library will be closed to the public between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Homeland Security Course
An Update in Research and Trends
This intensive one-week course provides a cross-disciplinary overview of trends in Homeland Security and its evolving mission space.
U.S. Homeland Security is addressed in comparison to other countries, as well as in the overarching perspective of civil security research. Topics include a focus on the evolution of the Homeland Security mission space and analysis of emerging threats and challenges. The course includes interactive syndicate work in small groups, networking receptions, and a short excursion. Guest lecturers include experts from the U.S. Homeland Security enterprise.
