Program Information

The Training and Development Program is a 33-36 credit Master's program offered by Penn State Harrisburg in south-central Pennsylvania. It is designed to prepare training and development professionals for a broad range of responsibilities, including performance analysis, training design and delivery, career development, organization development, and program evaluation.

Application Process

An applicant must hold a baccalaureate degree in any field from a regionally accredited, college-level institution. Application materials include a brief career/goal statement, two reference letters, a resume, and 2 copies of official transcripts.

Meeting your Advisor

Successful applicants for the program will receive an acceptance packet from the program coordinator and information regarding your faculty advisor. Your adviser will assist you in preparing a plan of study that will guide you in your scheduling of courses. Getting your ID Card

Your PSU ID card is your lifeline while at Penn State. It allows you to check out library books, access recreation facilities, and in some cases, provides access to buildings. You can add money to your card in the form of LionCash and also use it to purchase books and food at campus locations.

Activating your Access Account

Your Penn State Access account is required for many services at Penn State. You will need it to register for classes, pay your tuition, access e-mail, and access ANGEL (the Penn State Learning Management System).

eLion, Scheduling, and Getting Grades

Before beginning classes, you should obtain a personal ID card and activate your ACCESS account. They will allow you to use the eLion website to enroll in courses online, check your grades, and much more. Make sure you keep your personal information updated in eLion.

Completing your Registration

After finding courses through the Schedule of Courses, use eLion to complete your registration.
