Graduate Certificate in Training and Development
The primary goal of the Training and Development Graduate Certificate program is to prepare professionals from organizations in the for-profit, government, military, and non-profit sectors desiring a foundation in instructional design, and human resource/organizational development to enhance their organizational acumen. The 12-credit curriculum integrates core principles of training, and human resource/organizational development (HR/OD). Candidates will complete four courses targeted to provide a theoretical foundation and develop critical and practical perspectives associated with the field. The certificate is designed for both current practitioners in the field and those in other organizational roles who seek to extend their capacity to contribute in organizational settings with additional knowledge and skill.
The certificate program is a great choice for professionals whose expertise lies in areas other than the field of Training and Development, and who would like to integrate into their current practice skills in training, learning strategy, human resource development and organizational development. It is also an excellent starting point for returning adult students who are considering the M.Ed. program but would like to “test the waters” prior to committing to the full master’s program.
