  • Martin Named to All-Conference Team

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg senior Carla Martin (Manheim, PA/Home Schooled) was named a women’s volleyball all-conference selection by the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) on Wednesday, Nov. 2.  Martin, the Lions lone senior and one of the team’s 2011 captains, was voted to the all-conference third team.

  • Martin Honored On Senior Night

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg’s coaches, players and fans paid tribute to the 2011 Lions’ lone senior, Carla Martin (Manheim, PA/Home Schooled), prior to their match with Goucher on Wednesday, Oct. 26.  Unfortunately for the host squad, once the game got underway, it was all Gophers.  Ultimately, Penn State Harrisburg fell in three sets 25-19, 25-14 and 25-10 in the team’s home finale.

  • Lions Get Back on Winning Track

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa.- The 2011 campaign has been one full of nagging injuries and close losses for Penn State Harrisburg’s women’s volleyball team. But on Tuesday, Oct. 4, the Lions overcame their setbacks and easily defeated Rosemont 3-0 at the Capital Union Building. The sweep gave the blue and white its fourth win of the season.

  • Lions Drop Two In Tri-Match Play

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg’s women’s volleyball team played host on Saturday, Sept. 24 for a tri-match with Misericordia and Albright.  Unfortunately for the Lions, the visitors came to town, handled their business at the Capital Union Building and left the home squad with a pair of 3-0 losses, extending the blue and white’s recent losing streak to ten games in the process.

  • Lions Fall to Alvernia

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Lions had a tough go of things against the visiting Crusaders of Albright on Thursday night, Sept. 15.  Penn State Harrisburg sandwiched a strong second outing between two sloppy performances in the first and last games of the match and dropped the contest 25-13, 25-21 and 25-14.
