  • Houseal Named to All-Conference Team

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg outfielder Colton Houseal (Maytown, PA/Donegal) has had a strong 2012 campaign.  The sophomore played in 38 of the Lions’ 39 games this year and posted the best numbers of his young career.  Not surprisingly, the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has taken notice.  On Wednesday, Apr. 25, the league named Houseal to its West Division all-conference second team.

  • Lions Fall Short On Senior Day

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Resiliency was on display during Penn State Harrisburg’s senior day doubleheader against North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) foe Penn State Abington on Saturday, Apr. 21.  Despite valiant comeback efforts in both outings, the Lions twice fell just short, dropping a 7-6 heartbreaker in the opener and a 10-7 decision in game two.

  • Lions' Offense Roars Against Baptist Bible

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg put on a show at the plate in the team’s doubleheader sweep of Baptist Bible on Wednesday, Mar. 28. The Lions downed the Defenders 6-1 in the first game before scoring a season-high 15 runs in a stellar outing in the afternoon’s final contest. Freshman pitcher Hunter Rowe (Halifax, PA/Halifax) picked up his second win of the year in game number one while senior Mark Chimel (Middletown, PA/Middletown) got the victory in the second matchup.

  • McDaniel Outlasts Lions In High-Scoring Affair

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa- In a game that saw a combined 23 runs scored, Penn State Harrisburg couldn’t keep up with McDaniel’s offensive firepower and fell to the Green Terror 15-8 on Friday, Mar. 23.  The Lions fell behind the visitors in the top of the first inning but took the lead in the bottom of the stanza before relinquishing it for good in the top of the second.

  • Lions Split With Penn College In Home Opener

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - On Wednesday, Mar. 14, Penn State Harrisburg played its first home games of the 2012 season and split a pair with Penn College.  The Lions put a 12-1 beat down on the Wildcats in the first matchup before falling to the visitors 13-7 in game two.  Freshman pitcher Hunter Rowe (Halifax, PA/Halifax) was stout on the mound in the opening contest and senior center fielder TJ Houseal (Maytown, PA/Donegal) stole home three times on the afternoon, including twice in game one.
