Ladies Thank Seniors with Record Tenth Straight Win

MIDDLETOWN, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg’s women’s basketball team honored their graduating players Dorothea Dixon (Middletown, PA) and Monet Cunningham (Highspire, PA/Bishop McDevitt) prior to its game against Gallaudet on Wednesday night, Feb. 8.  The Lions immortalized this year’s senior night by besting the Bison 60-48 and recording the program’s school-record tenth straight victory.

Lions Honor Seniors; Clinch Division

MIDDLETOWN, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg’s men’s basketball team celebrated Senior Night by besting North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Gallaudet 94-74 and clinching the conference’s South Division title.  Seniors Kenton Alston (Harrisburg, PA/Steel-High) and Dave Reisinger (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) were honored before the game and put up solid numbers in their last home game wearing the blue and white but it was junior Steve Jones (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg) who led the way with 29 points and nine rebounds.

NEAC Recognizes Yetter’s Big Week

MIDDLETOWN, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg junior guard/forward Stephanie Yetter (Thompsontown, PA/East Juniata) led the Lions to two North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victories last week and was rewarded for her stellar play when the conference named her the women’s basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the time period ending Sunday, Jan. 29.

Ladies’ Recent Dominance Continues

MIDDLETOWN, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg has been on a tremendous tear as of late.  Coming into Sunday’s game against the visiting Lions from Penn State Abington, the ladies had won five straight contests by an average of 30.6 points per game.  While the blue and white didn’t quite match that impressive number, they did pick up their sixth consecutive win by a wide margin when they downed the visitors 68-44 at the Capital Union Building.

Welcome Back, Mr. Reisinger

MIDDLETOWN, Pa- After turning his ankle in the Lions’ season-opener and battling the injury ever since, Penn State Harrisburg senior forward Dave Reisinger (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) turned in his strongest performance of the year in the team’s 95-82 victory over conference foe Penn State Abington on Sunday, Jan. 29.  The CD East alum started his first game since the New Year and dropped a career-high 29 points on the visitors.
