American Society of Civil Engineers

Civil engineers build the world’s infrastructure. In doing so, they have shaped the histories and destinies of every nation. ASCE is a student group that allows civil engineering majors at Penn State Harrisburg to work on projects, attend construction visits, attend field trips, and attend dinner meetings to meet with professionals in the civil engineering field. Every dinner includes a special focus topic that covers the different specialties in Penn State Harrisburg’s Civil Engineering major (structural, general, environmental and construction). This group also takes organized trips to engineering firms and site visits so members can get a better idea about their future careers.
