Favorite thing about Penn State Harrisburg: Diversity & the ability to meet people from different backgrounds & grow my network.
Advice to first year students: Get involved in any club, organization, sport, or activity you can. You don't want to be all work & no play. You want to be able to look back at your college career & say, "wow! I remember freshman year, I did this, this, & that. I met a lot of cool people & had so many great memories & stories I can reminisce about."
How your adviser has helped you: My adviser has helped me by verifying that I was taking the courses I need to in order to graduate on time. My adviser printed a report that showed what credits counted & which ones would not & that helped me plan my future semesters. Also, my adviser recommended taking certain classes during a certain semester in order to make life more manageable.
What you hope to accomplish as a Lion Guide: I plan to empower my peers to advising & support resources such as the learning center and the advising office so that they may be even more successful in their college career.
